USA Cheer recommends that adults who work directly with cheer and STUNT athletes have a current USA Cheer membership, which includes a background screening, athlete protection training, agreement to follow the USA Cheer Code of Conduct and to be subject to investigation of alleged abuse or misconduct. Note that a response of "eligible to apply for membership" does not indicate that membership is imminent. There may be factors that USA Cheer is unaware of until a background screening or further information is made available. Further, USA Cheer may have internal reports that require additional information and resolution prior to granting membership.
