STATUS: FULL-TIME, EXEMPT, SALARIED Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applications for the full-time position of Head Coach, STUNT. Lake Erie College is an NCAA Division II program that competes in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC). Responsibilities Organizes, in conjunction with the director of athletics, all aspects of the program, including facility, game, practice and operational duties. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Special Requirements Qualified applicants will have the availability to work evenings and weekends, possess a valid driver’s license for transportation of team in vans or bus and have the ability to travel for team practices, competition and scouting. Under the NCAA Bylaw 11.1.6 Sports-Safety Training, each head coach and all other coaches who are employed full time at an institution shall maintain current certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillator (AED) use. All members of the department of athletics are responsible for knowing and following all institutional, Conference and NCAA regulations regarding recruiting and operations of the program. If regulations are not followed and result in a violation, employees are expected to self-report the violation to the compliance office or to the director of athletics. Additionally, employees must understand that those who knowingly violate, conceal, or attempt to cover up violations of NCAA rules shall be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. |

The school has a strong athletic department in the 2A division, with conference and state victories across many sports.OUR PROGRAM: Cheer is divided into 2 seasons: competition (fall) and basketball (winter). Location: Toledo, OH Full/Part Time: Part Time Description of Position: The University of Toledo, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) seeks an individual for the part-time position of Cheerleading Head Coach. This position is responsible for the organization, direction, and administration of all aspects of the cheerleading program in accordance with the University, MAC, NCAA, and USA Cheer (United States Governing Body for cheerleading). The position will plan and organize all phases of the cheerleading program. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to, building, recruiting, and maintaining a competitive cheerleading program consistent with the University and Department of Athletics policies, practice planning, supporting football at home and away games, including conference championship and bowl game, the men’s and women’s basketball at home games and the conference & NCAA tournament, select other home sporting events, appearing at certain University and/or Department of Athletics events, social media, fundraising, overseeing the program’s budget and equipment purchases and community outreach. Additionally, the cheerleading coordinator will collaborate with members of the other Toledo spirit squads (mascot, dance team and pep band) to engage students, alumni, fans, etc. at events for the Department of Athletics. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and two or more years of coaching experience. Must also be able to recruit, instruct and motivate college-aged student-athletes. Candidates must be well-organized with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of, and willingness to comply with all NCAA, MAC, University, and USA Cheer rules and regulations is required. Highly motivated candidates with previous coaching and/or cheering experience are greatly preferred. Responsibilities: Responsible for providing leadership, planning, organizing and administering all aspects of Western’s Cheer program. The incumbent will be responsible for fostering and supporting student-athlete welfare; recruiting highly qualified student-athletes; practice scheduling, home game appearance and competitions; coaching student-athletes in practice and competitions; maintaining a strong academic environment; maintaining budget, conducting and managing all facets of camps, cultivating alumni, direct involvement working with program-specific fundraising as well as participation in Athletic Department fundraising. Ability to establish good rapport and relationships with players, administrators, staff, alumni, and general public is necessary. Other relevant duties may be assigned by the Director of Athletics or designee.
The Head Cheerleading Coach will coordinate all aspects of spirit teams at home events. This includes, but is not limited to: the cheer team, Western Colorado University dance team, Western mascot, Western Colorado University drumline, and half-time promotional events with corporate sponsors. With the exception of games that occur during Western school breaks, the cheer team will be present at all home football, women & men’s basketball games. The cheer team will also be present at all playoff games that Western Athletics hosts, including any playoff games that may occur during official school holiday/breaks. The cheer team will also coordinate with the volleyball, soccer, and wrestling head coaches and the Athletics Facilities & Operations Coordinator to schedule home game appearances of the cheer team at 50% or more of home events. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum of three years cheer/dance coaching experience preferred. Must have current certification or ability to obtain certification in First Aid / CPR / AED. Must have a valid driver’s license. Compensation: Position is full-time, twelve-month position with a salary of $48,500. The Cheerleading program is seeking qualified and self-motivated applicants for a Graduate Assistant position working directly with our Division I cheerleaders. This position will provide support for the head coach that includes practices, competitions, and recruiting. This position is a two-year position with the candidate pursuing a graduate degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University-Metropolitan.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with team travel

Description of Position:
Practice and Competition Instruction – Assist the head coach with efforts to teach student-athletes how to perform their sport. More specifically, assist with instructing individual student-athletes on the techniques and tactics of the sport, demonstrate techniques of the sport, evaluate student-athlete and team performance, teach and engage student-athletes in appropriate strength and conditioning techniques, assist with the development of practice and competition plans, scout opposing teams (if applicable to the sport) assist with the development of competition schedules that will prepare the team for conference and NCAA championship success.
Student-Athlete Academic Performance – Support student-athlete graduation by: monitoring student-athlete academic performance; implementing appropriate study hall, class checking and grade checking programs; partnering with faculty, tutors, mentors, advisors and other university staff to support the academic performance of student-athletes; and implementing appropriate practice and competition limitations as needed for student-athletes who are not performing adequately in the classroom.
Recruiting and Retention – Assist the head coach with efforts to recruit and retain prospective student-athletes who are: admissible to the university, NCAA qualifiers, good citizens who will represent the program well, motivated to graduate from Drury and excellent athletes in the sport.
Compliance – Promote an atmosphere of compliance for everyone who is directly and indirectly associated with the sport, comply with NCAA, conference and university rules and regulations.
Budget – Assist the head coach with the management of the budget so the program functions within the operating budget allocated by the university and any money raised to supplement the operating budget.
Fundraising – Collaborate with athletics department and advancement staff for fundraising events and promotional activities, assist with securing donations needed to supplement the sport operating budget as necessary.
Student-Athlete Development – Supplement the education student-athletes receive in the classroom by teaching them life skills that will help them be productive citizens for life, support student-athlete development programming conducted by the athletics department and university.
Community Engagement – Promote a positive image of the program and the university by building relationships with constituent group members and by personal and team participation in community service activities; maintain positive relations with various media outlets, community groups, university departments and athletics department staff members.
Sports Camps – Assist the head coach with the organization and implementation of sports camps as desired by the head coach.
Performs other duties as assigned.
