Collaboration brings additional resources to USA Cheer members and builds on USA Cheer’s focus on providing resources for a positive culture in youth sport

DALLAS, May 5, 2021 – USA Cheer announced today a new partnership with TrueSport®, a youth sports values-based program powered by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. Founded on the cornerstones of sportsmanship, character-building and life skills, TrueSport® and USA Cheer will deliver new resources to USA Cheer members and to its partners, including the US All Star Federation.

The partnership will provide USA Cheer members with new educational tools to equip coaches, parents and young athletes with the resources to build life skills and core values for success in sports and in life.

“USA Cheer exists to promote a safe culture of participation in the cheer community and grow interest in cheer throughout the country,” said USA Cheer Executive Director Lauri Harris. “This partnership will help us do both and ensure kids who cheer reap the benefits of that participation. Learning important lessons about integrity, teamwork and responsibility. We’re thrilled to join the TrueSport® movement.”

“TrueSport’s duty is to empower parents, coaches, and educators with education that will help those in their care to become better people on and off the field of play,” said Dr. Jennifer Royer, Senior Director of TrueSport® and Awareness. “Through our partnership with USA Cheer and their strong and engaged community, we are thrilled to help work with them to shape the future not only of sport, but to produce leaders who will someday positively influence society as a whole.”

The resources activated by the partnership are available at https://usacheer.org/truesport-training. New content will be added on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
